German after-school club success at Cornwood
German-speaking students from an after-school club at Cornwood Primary
School have been rewarded with merit certificates for their hard work.
Around 12 pupils have been learning the language after school with private tutor Olga Wenham-Baker.
Children from the ages of six to 10 have been practising German through teaching and even singing.
The certificates were in recognition of their attendance.
The club, which has been running for three years, also said thank you to head teacher Sandra Higdon who has
left the school.
Mrs Wenham-Baker said: 'We wanted to say thank you to Sandra and wish her all the best for the future.
